The ACME-GHC Group has set up the world’s first integrated pilot project for the green hydrogen and green ammonia plant at Bikaner in Rajasthan. In this project, Green Hydrogen is being produced using 5MWp from the solar plant, scalable to 10 MWp.

The Rajasthan plant, built in desert terrain, has already started producing renewable hydrogen, while the components of the ammonia plant are currently being added. The plant will help in saving approx. 4400 tons/annum of CO2 emissions.
This R&D pilot green hydrogen plant in India has enriched the Company with knowledge, experience, and learning, which are being utilized in large-scale Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia plants under development.

Green hydrogen is produced by splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen using electrolysers. The electrolysis itself is powered by energy from renewable resources such as wind and solar. India has set a 5 million tonne green hydrogen production target by 2030 and be a game changer for the country’ energy security. India imports 85% of its oil and 53% of gas requirements.

... rupees ($6.70 billion) in India's southern Karnataka state over five years to set up a green hydrogen and ammonia plant, the state government said on Monday.
The investment comes as India aims to manufacture five million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030 to meet its climate targets and become a production and export centre for the fuel.
The green hydrogen and ammonia plant, which will create about 2,000 jobs, will have the capacity to produce 1.2 million tonnes per annum. It will also have a solar power unit attached.
Green hydrogen, produced using renewable energy, has some of the best environmental credentials among cleaner-burning fuels. The zero-carbon fuel is made using renewable power from wind or solar sources to split water into hydrogen and oxygen.
ACME Green Hydrogen and Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. Is also setting up a green ammonia and green hydrogen factory in the port town of Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, at a cost of ₹52,474 crore. The initial agreement with the State Government was signed in presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Thiru M K Stalin during the Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave. This will be one of the largest such plants in the world, said the company’s founder, Manoj Kumar Upadhya, at the Tamil Nadu Investors' First Port of Call-Investment Conclave held on Monday. The green ammonia hydrogen will provide chemicals to the fertiliser industry, fuel to the power sector and to the shipping industry. The factory needs four main things-a large piece of land, near the port, solar radiation, and a skilled talent pool-and the State is blessed to have all four, he said at the event. The project will comprise 5,000 mw of solar PV plant, 1.5 GW of the electrolyzer and 1.1 million tonnes of ammonia synthesis loop.
