How to Re grout Tile without Removing Old Grout
1. Select the right material
Grout is mainly made of cement. As such, it can quickly become discolored over time. Understandably, you want long-lasting results for your current project. Epoxy grout is a perfect choice. It is simple to use and durable. It is also available in a wide range of colours and finishes.
2. Create Space for the New Application
Although you don't need to remove the grout entirely before applying the epoxy grout, it is essential to ensure that the channel is big enough to allow the new material to cure. This is usually a minimum of 2 millimeters. A grout saw, or another type of grout-removal tool can be used.

Use a grout float to apply the grout into the crevices. It is essential to pack it tightly. A grout float will have a flat edge to wick away excess grout. Use a damp sponge to clean off any excess grout. Keep working until you are satisfied with the results. The grout should be set for about a week before you can move on to the next step.
