It's easy to convert from Java code to Kotlin code. The next important question is why should I learn Kotlin? I had the same question when I started and later realized that it is very concise code. It's very simple and the readability is more. Kotlin helps me to avoid a lot of boilerplate code, meaning I don't have to write much code. It has been automated by Kotlin, and it's very simple and concise.
