Henna designing has developed a craze for many people around the world. The designing has been developing and being used in the Indian cultures. In addition to that, it has also been a fashionable art in the American community. You may have seen much publicity of henna tattoos in places like Six Flags, carnivals and even a local mall. It has been used for many cultural occasions at various Indian wedding and has held many idealist meanings. Henna tattoo symbolizes an extremely religious meaning to many people, especially brides. Some say that the darkness of the color from the henna on the bride's hand shows the strength in the groom's love for the bride. So the darker it is, that's how much he loves her. The level of darkness and strength of the love is just what you imagine it to be. It is usually in the belief of many people, while others may just believe that the darkness is the result of the how and what the henna was made with.

Henna is made from the leaves of henna plants, which is where the name henna comes from. The dye is mainly used for henna designing but is also applied to the hair for color. The ...
... leaves are crushed and made into a thin powder, then mixed with acidic liquids to create a thin paste. It is usually put into a cone like sheet so that the paste comes out evenly with the thickness you desire. After applying the paste to your hands or feet, it takes about fifteen minutes to dry up. You may want to apply lemon juice mixed with sugar and dab it on the dry henna so it can stick to you longer and produce a darker color. Many people leave it on overnight so they can receive the most satisfying color. This temporary tattoo usually last up to fifteen days which is a well enough time for a normal, traditional event.

Apart from the occasions, henna designing has still been used as a temporary tattoo. So for those who LOVE having a tattoo but are not allowed to and just want one to show off for a week or so, henna would be an amazing idea! You may use it just to try out the design you want and wipe it off right away without it leaving a stain on your skin. For many, henna designing has always been the art as the tradition, and for others, it has been the art as the fashion. Whether your reason is tradition or fashion, you will be sure to love the natural creation it leaves on your hands.
