Heinz Field

The stadium is on the northside of Pittsburgh, along the Ohio River. It opened in 2001 and is named after the H.J. Heinz Company, who purchased the naming rights in 2001. It incorporated 12,000 tons of steel into the design to keep with the history of the city. It also has a natural grass surface that was criticized at first but, the Steelers players and ownership fought to keep it.

The Coca-Cola Great Hall is on the east side of the stadium. It contains a collection of Steelers and Pittsburgh Panther memorabilia. For example, there are actual lockers of former famous players (Joe Greene, Bill Dudley, Jerome Bettis, and more) and a timeline of the Steelers major events throughout their winning history. PNC Park

The stadium is on the north shore along the Allegheny River. It opened in 2001 and is sponsored by PNC Financial Services. It is unique because it incorporates limestone in the facade and has steel truss work. The stadium also has natural grass and can seat 38,496 people.

The stadium has a picnic area on the top of the right field stands that can sit up to 300 fans. There is also a Brew Pub in the Left Field for 500 people that offers a beautiful view of the field and city.
