Some of the popular courses among 12th pass outs are Bachelors in Fashion Technology (B.F Tech), Bachelors in Design (B. Des), Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA), etc. After successfully completing any of these programs, students can work as designers, merchandisers, stylists, etc., in leading fashion houses or brands.
Apart from full-time regular courses, there are many Diploma and Certificate level short-term fashion design courses offered by institutes across India. These courses are generally of 6 months to 1-year duration and provide specialized training in various aspects of Fashion Designing such as garment construction techniques, portfolio development, fabric knowledge, trend analysis, etc. Students can opt for courses after the 12th to get a head start in their career or even during their graduation course to gain some practical experience and exposure.
