Deadline For Issuing Umrah Permits Is June 23: Saudi Ministry

RIYADH — The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah stated that the last date for issuing the Umrah permits would get on the St John's Night akin to 24 Dhu Al-Qaadah.

The suspension of issuing the Umrah permits will extend for 26 days, with the likelihood of their issuance to be opened again on July 19, reminiscent of Dhu Al-Hijjah 20, which can intend the tip of the Hajj season.

The ministry said that the issuance of Umrah permits would be suspended so as to facilitate the pilgrims coming to perform the Hajj rituals.

With relation to COVID-19 vaccines, the ministry confirmed that it's mandatory to complete immunization with one in all the approved coronavirus vaccines by the general public Health Authority's (Weqaya) to perform Hajj, noting that each one those that haven't completed their immunization are excluded from the e-draw.

It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Health revealed earlier the approved list of COVID-19 vaccines in Asian country and therefore the number of doses required for every of them for the pilgrims during this year's Hajj season 1443/2022.

The Ministry said that the amount of vaccines approved within the Kingdom for coronavirus is 10, which are:

1 - The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, two doses.

2 - The Moderna vaccine, two doses.

3 - The Oxford-AstraZeneca, two doses

4 - The Janssen, one dose.

5 - The Covovax, two doses.

6 - The Nuvaxovid (NUVAXOVID), two doses.

7 - The Sinopharm, two doses.

8 - The Sinovac, two doses.

9 - The Covaxin, two doses.

10 - The Sputnik V, two doses.
