Question-and-answer preparation and practice:

One should look up previous years' question papers and prepare these topic wise important questions to study in detail as they can be repeated somehow or the other. Being ready for such common questions will give you a considerable advantage on the time taken to answer each question within 3 hours. This way, you can manage to spend more time on the underprepared answers in the examination hall, ensuring that they are written with as much dexterity as the others with that extra time.

Similarly, you should practice writing answers within a stipulated time at home. This will increase your writing speed and make sure that you can finish the paper well before time. It will give you the opportunity to revise it for any errors and mistakes before handing it in.

Sitting for Mock Tests:

Many educational programs and websites offer mock tests for the prospective examinees to practice. You may perform poorly in the first few sample tests. This is where you learn from your mistakes and prepare well for the real deal, so do not lose heart.

Multiple revisions:

The secret to becoming a successful candidate is not just revising the syllabus once but multiple times. The more you revise, the more each fact gets imprinted on your mind, helping you recall them easily in the exam. Your first full-length revision should take two to three months, divided into a weekly schedule to cover each subject part by part. The subsequent revisions should take less time. It is best to revise the syllabus thrice, at least.

Important short notes and flashcards:

Making notes by yourself helps you to retain information better than just going through others' notes. Flashcards should contain short keywords and phrases which will help you to formulate a comprehensive answer. Revising these just before appearing for the exams should be enough.

Prioritize Important Topics:

Your last and final revision right before the day of the exam should be done on the critical topics only so that you can relax for the rest of the day. Keeping calm in the exam hall is essential, and trying to revise the entirety of a vast syllabus may do nothing better than just spike your anxiety.
