When And How Will You Prepare For Planning Permission?

When constructing a new building in Berkshire, you must first obtain planning permission. Not only that, but if you want to make major changes, you will also need planning permission. On the other hand, if you own a commercial property, you must also be prepared to obtain planning permission approval. Minor changes and additions can be made without requiring planning permission in some cases; this is known as a permitted development right. However, each local authority has different restrictions on what changes can be made without obtaining planning permission, so before submitting any applications, you should contact your local authority to discuss your proposal. You can also apply for a Lawful Development Certificate to ensure that your proposed changes do not require full planning permission.
Processes You should Follow while Applying for Planning Application
You can apply both online and in person. Plans and a full application outlining your proposal will almost certainly be required.
When reviewing ...
... your building proposal, the Local Authority will ask if any of your neighbours have any objections to the application. As a result, you should inform your neighbours of your plans, and if planning permission is granted, you should strive to cause as little disruption and disturbance as possible during the construction process.
Other Necessaries
You should keep the Berkshire planning permission approval with you to ensure the building is structurally sound and that no legal actions are taken against the project. Nobody will stop you from continuing with the project once you have these documents in hand.
The first step would be to apply to the local planning authority. The authority will then publicise your application in the newspaper. The general public is given several chances to comment on your application. After a certain amount of time, a decision will be made. From the time the application is submitted, it takes approximately eight to eight weeks.
In most cases, a higher authority will approve your application. If they find any flaws, they will reject your application and tell you to reapply. You can apply for planning permission as many times as you want in Berkshire. If your neighbours object to you, it will have no bearing on you.
