What Is MDF?
MDF is a material used for furniture and appliance manufacturing. It stands for medium density fiberboard, so it may be made of wood chips, sawdust, and resinous material. MDF is a relatively cheap material, and it is often used for manufacturing inexpensive furniture and appliances. MDF doors are a bit like particle board in that they can be used for furniture and other things, but it is a different material. 5. Hardware: Make sure you have all of the hardware on the cabinets before you paint them. This includes knobs, pulls, and handles. You can choose to paint over hardware or paint the hardware black before you paint. You’ll want to do this so it matches when it comes time to clean the cabinets.
6. Door Finishes: You can choose to paint your cabinet doors or leave them unfinished. If you choose to leave the doors unfinished, you’ll want to use wood conditioner to make them smooth.
