A wisdom tooth that does not erupt is unable to do so due to a lack of room in the dental arch, an incorrect position, or a limitation in jaw growth. A tooth that hasn't erupted and isn't causing problems doesn't need to be treated; but, if you're not so lucky, the dentist may prescribe that you have to undergo wisdom teeth removal in Sydney.

The recuperation is what most people are concerned about with this operation. Recovery isn't easy, but it doesn't have to be so painful or difficult. If you're scheduled for this surgery, have a look at some helpful hints for a quick recovery. Remember that the dentist will provide you specific instructions and recommendations depending on your unique situation. Also, the wisdom teeth removal cost in Sydney is affordable and safe.

Apply cold packs on your face.

Apply an ice pack to the side of your face where the extraction was performed. Swelling and bruising can be reduced by icing. The swelling that occurs following an impacted wisdom teeth extraction may not appear right away, but it might last for a few days, ...
... peaking on the second or third day. The best time to use an ice pack is on the day of the extraction. The first day, ice packs should be applied for 15 minutes every hour.

Bite into a gauze and wait for it to clot.

The gauze pad placed over the surgical region should be kept in place for an hour after the surgery. The gauze pad should be removed and thrown when this time has passed. If the bleeding occurs again, bite on a gauze for the same amount of time. This will provide pressure to the wound, allowing a clot to develop on the tooth extraction site, covering it, stopping the bleeding, and allowing it to recover. Make careful you don't chew on the gauze bits, though.

Drink plenty of water and eat soft foods.

It's recommended not to eat solids while you're still numb. Soft and liquid foods, such as soups, mashed potatoes, yoghurts, milkshakes, and smoothies, are the ideal choices for the first 24 hours.

Don’ts after wisdom tooth removal

Hard, crunchy, and sticky meals should be avoided.

Hard, crunchy, chewy, hot, or spicy foods should be avoided since they can get lodged in the socket and irritate the wound. Dry sockets will be avoided, and cleanliness will be improved.

Don’t brush your teeth for the first 24 hours, and be gentle afterwards

Brush your teeth starting the second day following your treatment, but don't brush the wisdom teeth extraction sites because brushing helps the healing process and prevents the clot from forming.

Don't spit, suck on anything, or use a straw (candy etc.)

By avoiding these activities, you can keep the blood clot that forms over the wisdom tooth extraction site intact. The clot can be removed by any form of suction in the mouth. If this is the case, you may experience increased bleeding, pain, and a condition known as dry sockets.
