Chess is a strategic board game played with two players. Each player has sixteen pieces of varying powers, including a king, queen, knights, rooks, bishops, and pawns. The object of the game is to checkmate the other player's king. This can be done by capturing the king or blocking all possible moves for the king so that it cannot avoid capture in the next turn cycle.

Although chess is considered a hobby for many, there are also many benefits of playing chess regularly. Here are just a few:

Better problem-solving skills:- Chess improves problem-solving skills. Playing chess requires higher-level thinking and planning as you consider how your opponent will react to your moves and how you can outmaneuver them.
Improved memory retention :- Chess helps improve memory retention. As you learn chess strategy, you’ll be memorizing the movement of each piece on the board.
Increased creativity and imagination:- Chess enhances creativity and imagination. Imagination is an integral part of the game of chess as players consider what their opponent will do next and how they can best respond by using their own ...
... pieces to their advantage.
Stress relief:- Chess is a great stress reliever. The act of focusing on a game like chess forces your mind to shift away from stressors, providing relief from everyday worries.
Enhanced concentration:- Chess increases concentration. Being focused on the game helps exercise your brain’s ability to focus on one thing for extended periods of time without losing attention or interest.
Gain a sense of control over your life- It makes you a better player, but the benefits are much deeper than that. It helps get you out of bed in the morning. It drives you to learn more about the world and how it works - history, science, culture, politics - everything. It gives you something to talk about with strangers. And most importantly, it will make you feel like a winner every day for however long you need it to.

With the many benefits of chess, it comes as no surprise that many people have taken up learning the game or are continuing to learn.
