The global aerospace company has come on board to sponsor the cross-sector economic relief initiative that aims to empower 1 million women in India with a sustainable future – by curating actionable digital solutions to provide economic relief.

Beyond #empowHERfamily, Boeing India will also support 50 Cloud Skilling Scholarships for WIC’s Digital Skilling Initiative, to be distributed through the WIC Center of Excellence in India, which opened at RVCE last month. Boeing will also collaborate with RVCE to drive mentorship and support for 25 RVCE students within the Center of Excellence.

A March 2020 NASSCOM report, “India's Tech Industry: Women For The Techade”, states that women constitute only 35 percent of India's technology industry. According to the IDC Report, the overall Indian public cloud services market alone is expected to reach $10.8 billion by 2025, growing at a CAGR of 24.1 per cent for 2020-25, and presents a substantial opportunity for women to be part of.

Boeing has been a strong partner of India’s aerospace sector for almost eight decades, both as the mainstay of India’s commercial aviation sector as well as an important partner in the mission readiness and modernization of India’s defense forces.
