While most of the world embraced minimalist, small weddings in the previous year, Indian brides have managed to be full-blown maximalist – with various dupattas embellished in gold and jewels. With a limited budget allotted towards the venue and the guests, more was presented to the outfit of the bride. However, for all the conventional Indian events and late-night dancing that the brides had to sacrifice, they more than made up with the heavily-embellished and colourful velvet lehengas they walked down the passageway.

Chikankari is one of the most traditional and popular styles presented by the Mughals. It is classic handwork that now has become a favourite of every Indian woman.
