If you are thinking of installing a wideband oxygen sensor, then you will want to attach a wideband air fuel gauge as well so that you can visually monitor your air to fuel ratio. It is important to recognize how essential it is to wire the sensor and the gauge properly. Most gauges come with the sensor and the controller in the kit. That means that a chassis or a body ground is not enough to make sure that the sensor is sufficiently grounded, and a screw and a nut bolted on to some part of your car is not going to cut it either. If you want your wideband gauge to work right the sensor has to be properly grounded.

A wideband air fuel gauge is a precision instrument designed to provide you with very accurate information about the air to fuel ratio in your engine. The grounding equipment is often included along with the components and it should be used to provide a quality ground for the wideband sensor and then the gauge should be connected based on the instructions that come with the kit.

A wideband gauge is the best way to make sure that you always have a read on the fuel conditions in your engine. The only way to definitively know that your wideband air fuel gauge is providing you with accurate information is to be extremely careful during the installation process. The gauge is the best way to make on the fly adjustments to your air to fuel mixture based on the current engine conditions. Wire up your sensor and gauge right and watch your engine roar.
