Nowadays, many young people like tattoos, such as tattooing the name of the person they like. Once tattooed, the color of the tattoo will stay on the skin. Why?
No matter how hard it is to wash off the ink, it will eventually fade from the skin, but tattoos will not have such a short fate. The first reason, of course, is that ink does not penetrate the skin like a tattoo needle. Our outer skin falls off naturally every 2 to 4 weeks, but the function of the inner layer is different.
In terms of surface area, the skin is the second largest organ of the human body, accounting for about 2.5% of our body weight. It's no surprise. After all, the surface of our body is full of these things! The skin consists of seven layers that protect the underlying tissues, muscles and other organs. In order to uncover the mystery of tattoo, we need to understand two important levels: epidermis and dermis.
The top layer of the skin is the epidermis, and there are five other sublayers below it. But let's put this aside and just talk about the whole epidermis.
After the dead skin of the epidermal layer falls off, healthy skin ...
... cells from the lower layer will replace the dead cells. The epidermis is like a protective covering that acts as a barrier against infection. There's always something you don't know. In fact, the epidermis doesn't contain any blood vessels.
The nutritional needs of the epidermis and the treatment of waste depend on the dermis. In addition, almost 70% of protein coding genes are reflected in the skin.
The dermis is located under the epidermis and is composed of connective tissue. Connective tissue connects, supports, and binds other tissues or organs. The dermis is further divided into papillary area and reticular area. The former is a superficial area near the epidermis, while the latter is a deeper and thicker area in the dermis. The dermis also contains oil and sweat glands, hair follicles, nerve endings, lymphatic vessels, macrophages and CD4 + T cells.
