Lastly, patience, as it takes time.

Steps of tincture making

First, remove all the dried or fresh herbs off the stalks.
Chop the fresh herbs and grind the dried herbs into fine form to increase their surface area for the maceration. Then place the herbs into a clean and dry jar with having a wide mouth.
Add the high-proof alcohol into the jar until the whole herb is submerged. As dry herbs can absorb the liquid, check and add alcohol as needed.
Then cover it tightly with a lid & place it in a dark place without disturbing it for about 4-6 weeks. This will allow soaking and macerating.
You can shake the jar every 3-4 days to ensure that the desired alcohol level is maintained.
Once the macerating is complete, layer the cheesecloth and strain the mixture through this cheesecloth with your clean hands.
Squeeze it tightly so that every possible liquid is drained from the herbs.
Allow the material to settle down overnight and re-filter it through the small filter paper.
Using the funnel, transfer it into the amber bottle and keep it away from the sunlight.
