Who doesn't appreciate fashion? To look cool, trendy, and dashing for an entire day. Nothing beats the feeling of being the centre of attention when you're wearing a stylish outfit. Especially if you want to dress up in traditional attire for a special occasion, you will want to stand out among your peers or friends. But there are simply too many dresses to choose from. You're probably torn between what looks good on you and what doesn't.

If you're not sure what to wear or are unsure what to wear, here are a few fashion tips for all you guys out there looking to dress up for an occasion. And why not put these tips to use during the Holi celebrations? Here's wishing everyone who will be there the best of luck.

The Traditional wear

You know it's going to be a mess, but that shouldn't stop you from wearing a kurta. Regardless of how many colours you wear, a traditional Indian look will draw a lot of attention. Wear a loose-fitting white kurta over cotton vest with loose-fitting dark blue Patiala pants.

Simplicity

If you don't want to get ...
... your best dresses coloured, the best and safest outfit to wear on Holi is the classic casual attire - a simple white half sleeve shirt. But if you're still looking for a little more style, try faded jeans and white sports shoes. You're now ready for a Holi shower.

A Specific waistcoat

Wearing a waistcoat with your kurta is a good way to stand out in a crowd while still remaining in lighter attire. Depending on the type of waistcoat you're wearing, you can choose to wear something dark or light.
For example, a red waistcoat with a brown dhoti or a light green waistcoat with white pants.

Just make sure the waistcoat is brighter in colour than the white kurta.

Slender attire

If you're going to be spending time with your family during Holi, wearing traditional attire may be a nice way to celebrate. Combine a khaki kurta with an orange/saffron dhoti or handloom lungi. Put on a slightly darker Nehru-styled jacket with slit openings to keep your kurta in place and give you a more defined body shape.

Cool Casuals

If you're worried about enjoying Holi while also feeling that looking too simple isn't your thing, there may be a solution. Again, go for a classic look with a white shirt and faded torn jeans. Put on a white jacket with rolled-up sleeves. A chain and a watch would also be appropriate. In addition, a pair of sneakers would round out your ensemble.

You will not only enjoy Holi, but you will also look cool doing so.

Gold sherwani

After the colour parties, it's time to get serious about your attire. Choosing a sherwani is the best option. Consider wearing a golden sherwani with gold embroidery designs. And maybe some light-coloured pants to go with it.

Hybrid Indian

You might be the type of guy who enjoys a touch of western in everything he says or does. This is what you can do if you want to incorporate that concept into your dressing style, making sure you have exactly enough western and more than enough Indian. Instead of a kurta, try a jodhpuri suit (an Indian suit), and instead of the traditional formal pants routine, try the traditional Dhoti.

The Indo-western look

Try the indo-western look if you want something royal and traditional with a western twist. Select a traditional light-coloured kurta and light-coloured pants. But there's more: wear a light-coloured suit over the kurta. Keep the suit unbuttoned so that it appears to be a jacket over the traditional ensemble.

Orange Sherwani

If you're looking for a colour that encompasses all three elements of traditional, ethnic, and cultural, orange is your best bet. The Sherwani is without a doubt the best dress for this occasion. Wear an orange sherwani with floral designs in lighter colours. Try to find ones that start at the shoulders and run all the way down to the bottom of the cloth. This could give the impression that you're wearing a shawl. Then, to keep the orange/red theme going, wear dark red pants.
