Have you ever walked into a friend's house and felt lost? Or confused? Or afraid? If you have ever asked yourself questions like, "Why is there a mirror in the bathroom?" or "Why are there six dogs?" or "Why is the kitchen table made out of a shipping container?" Then you know what it is like to walk into someone else's unique home in Port Lincoln.

Well, it doesn't have to be that way. Not if you follow these simple guidelines for creating your own unique abode. You will be able to create a home from the ground up that makes sense, feels good, and expresses who you are!

Let's face it: sometimes, our homes may not seem that original. We have all got copies of IKEA furniture and things that look like they came straight from the nearest Target or Walmart. But think about it: what if you could have a home that was as unique as you are?

Let's look at a few ways to make your home into something really, really special that you will adore for life:

Ask yourself what colours make you ...
... feel alive. Do not use all of them at once.

If your kitchen has an oven, put it in a different room. If not, don't bother buying one.

Always keep five cats in your bedroom. Not six. Definitely not seven. Five. No more than five.

Most people don't think about how to create a unique home in Port Lincoln for themselves. But if you're one of those people who doesn't want the same old, same old, here are some ideas that might help you make your home truly yours.

Make sure your home is neat and tidy. A messy home can be very intimidating, especially if you have guests coming over. Make sure any decorations you have are arranged in a way that makes sense to you and that works with your overall style. If you don't know where to start, try colour-coding like using red for dining room items, green for living room items, etc., or grouping things into themes like "Things from my travels" or "Things I love".

Finally, make sure your home feels inviting: it is not just about making it look nice, it is about making it feel nice as well. If there are any smells that remind you of good times or happy places, make sure they're in your home too!
