When most people talk about an RV, it usually comes with positive statements on the type of life boondocking an RV allows you. However, one topic keeps propping up, and it involves laundry and how to go about it.

Do you always have to rely on Laundromats for doing your laundry in an RV? Definitely not.

Admittedly, doing laundry in a small RV poses a reasonable amount of difficulty, but it is doable. Many variables affect your ability to do laundry in a small RV, a significant part being the available supplies.

But, regardless of your supplies, below are tips you will find handy when doing your laundry in your RV on the road.

Laundry pad

The laundry pad is similar to the traditional washer. It is a machine you could use to do laundry in your RV. The significant difference between the laundry pad and a traditional washer is that it is smaller, and it was explicitly designed to be used in smaller spaces like those in an RV.

It spins a couple of clothes, and only a few clothing items can be done at once. After spinning, it spins them dry, which is much of an advantage.

Compact ...
... portable washers are also available, but they take longer and contain fewer items than the laundry pad.

When using any of this equipment, the best method will be to do your laundry every two days.

Hand Washing

The idea of handwashing comes with the image of pain and stress. But there is good news. Some devices were designed to aid you through the handwashing process. One of such devices is the breathing mm=obile washer. It is made out of tin-plated steel which makes it easy to use.

Another advantage of this device is that it doesn’t operate o batteries, motors, or electricity. It is also fast and requires minimal effort from your end.. it also has a complete water-tight system, so the dirty water stays inside while you do your laundry.

Clothing bars

Washing your clothes is one. Drying them is another. You most likely will not want the campground to be your only way to dry your clothing. Most campgrounds are against this.

This is where the clothing bars come in. The collapsible hang dryer and drip laundry hanger make a good option for use in an RV because they do not take much space and are easy to store.

Gray water waste

It is not advisable to do your laundry when the grey water tank Is filled up. It is best to wash when you are in a park, and there are available water and wastewater hookups.

Again, it is best to do your laundry as soon as your clothes get dirty before you run out of clean clothes.

Conclusion

Lastly, keep your laundry area organized. Whether or not the space is small, nobody enjoys a room filled with clothes and shoes scattered in every corner.

Since your RV is small, it is best to keep the laundry area as organized as possible. You could use laundry baskets or a hanging shoe caddy. Whichever you choose, remember the goal is to keep it tidy.

We hope you have found the tips discussed here helpful in carrying out your laundry despite limited space. Indeed, you will not regret putting them into practice.
