Styling Tips For Groom With Short Height

Men of short stature often think long and hard before attempting a new style, and in most cases, they avoid it. This post will go over all of the problems and their solutions, along with an explanation of why they are the way they are. Men's ethnic wear, such as Sherwanis, Jodhpurs, Kurtas, and Dhotis, is primarily reserved for weddings. If you're wondering if a Sherwani will look good on you, read on to improve your ethnic fashion game.
1. Well fiiting garments:
It is true that slim people appear taller than people who are larger in size. When selecting your wedding attire, look for slim fit outfits that fit your body structure perfectly. Going a size larger than your true size will give you a wider appearance, making you appear shorter.
2. Shorter Length Kurta:
Avoid kurtas that are longer than your knee length and instead opt for kurtas that are shorter than your knee length. The goal is to make your legs look longer. Long kurtas will make your legs appear shorter.
3. Narrow collars:
Some may wonder how collars can affect your appearance. So, dear readers, wide collars broaden your ...
... shoulders and give you a wider appearance, which reduces your overall length. The majority of Sherwanis, on the other hand, have high neck collars over cotton vest. The same rule applies here as well. The width of the collar should be kept short, and it should not completely cover your neck. Shahid did it correctly, and the collars appeared quite large in the other image.
4. Shorter Jacket:
If you want to wear your kurta with some contrasting jackets, go ahead and do it. However, keep their length short and ensure that they do not cover the entire length of your buttocks. The goal is to make your legs appear longer.
5. Matching shoes:
A well-matched pair of shoes with your bottom pair makes your legs appear longer. If you wear different coloured shoes, it will act as a colour block and create a distinct line between your legs and feet.
6. Pointed shoes:
When choosing footwear, look for pointed shoes with a low ankle design. The goal is to make your feet appear narrower.
7. No chudidars:
'Chudidars' are long pants with a narrow fit and excess length that falls into beautiful folds near the ankle. They are, however, a no-no for shorter men because they take away their height. Instead, try a well-fitting payjama that ends just above the ankle.
8. Avoid contrast:
When choosing your colours, stick to no more than two shades, and going for a monochromatic look is the best option. Choosing a single colour helps you avoid colour blocking, as you are all aware. You could pair embossed sherwaani with plain pants.
9. Avoid large prints and heavy embroidery:
Large prints and small prints, as well as small embroidered booties, will not look good on you. Vertical Stripes are the print for the shorter guys, and you can include them on your list.
10. Medium or high rise:
This final point is for men who are considering wearing a formal suit. Choose a pant with a mid-rise to make your legs appear longer. Any style with a medium or high rise will look good on you but never try low rise pants.
NOTE: NO ANARKALI!
Please do not experiment with the Anarkali style, which is also popular these days.
