Once you've completed your assignment, you may be eager to send it to your choice journal immediately. However, if you don't "edit my paper," how could you ensure that your assignment is of standalone quality.

Discussed below are 3 tips that will help you in editing your manuscript.

1. Let your paper rest-

No matter how complete and correct you feel your research paper is, set it aside for several days or even up to a couple of weeks. Stay away from reading related content or research if possible during this time. If you plan to use online paper editing services for assessment help, allow substantial time to let your manuscript rest and then complete the remaining tips.

Account for enough "resting" time to include at least a couple of days after you receive your paperback from editing services to allow final changes prior to submitting it to the journal. After your "resting period," print out a double-spaced hard copy of your essay.

2. Review for overall order, flow, and focus–

This is also called a "substantive edit." After you "do my homework" on manuscript ...
... writing, begin by reviewing the title, abstract, and headings in an objective manner. Do they represent the overall content of your paper? Have you included keywords and phrases in the title, subtitle, headings, and within the content? Often, this is the point where you may discover the content in one section would be better suited before or after another section. You may also see where certain ideas may be irrelevant to the general topic or argument of your paper. This step comes in extremely valuable if you are struggling to reduce the word count.

3. Edit for duplicate phrases and words-

All writers have certain words or "pet" phrases they use more often than others. This tip is listed to help you to broaden those common and duplicate phrases by using varied language that conveys a similar meaning. This strategy will freshen up each section of your manuscript, which may help to maintain interest and ensure your audience reads your paper through to the end. In addition, this step will also help you to eliminate unnecessary words if you need to reduce the overall word count.

4. Edit for grammar, spelling, style–

Though the most common practice in editing a manuscript, once you've followed through with the first three tips, you will want to review the entire manuscript for overall grammar, spelling, and style to the best of your ability. If English is not your first language, this is where hiring a manuscript editing service will become the most valuable.

However, by doing this step on your own first, you will be improving your English language skills as well as catching any basic errors that occurred during the re-rewriting or rearranging of your manuscript content.

Thus, use the 5 tips mentioned above to edit the paper before submitting it to the journal and increase your chance of getting the document published.

Summary: You submit your paper to a journal to get it published. However, your chance of getting selected becomes pretty less if you don't edit your paper as per the set standard. Discussed are the 3 tips that you can adhere to for making your manuscript spotless and impressive.
