Excavations are a big part of the real estate business. Basically, excavations are necessary to create spaces for things that people need, like houses and parking lots. These spaces can be dug out in different ways. It’s important to know how excavations are created before you hire someone to do one for you!

There are a lot of different kinds of excavations in Sydney that you probably didn't even know existed. They're used in real estate development, and they can be used to dig up various things. Here's a list of some of the most common excavations:

The Standard Excavation: This is the most common kind of excavation, and it's used when you need to dig up the ground for a new building or other structure. The basic design is just a wide, deep pit with an enclosed rectangular space at the bottom where your workers will work. Maybe put some steps in there so they can get in and out easily.

A Shallow Excavation: This is another type of excavation that is used when you don't need to ...
... dig very deep into the ground, but you still want access to the dirt underneath. There are two main types: A trench and an open-pit trench. Trenches go straight down into your dirt, while open-pit trenches have walls that allow access to the floor of the excavation without going all the way down to the bottom.

A Venue Excavation: This one is for people who want to hold large outdoor events like concerts or conventions; when you have an area designated as public space, but it needs improvement before using it. You might also look for permission if required before starting to dig. Have a talk with the local development authorities and make sure you have the approval before using a public place.

Other kinds of excavations in Sydney include greenfield and brownfield. A greenfield excavation is when you dig into an area that has never been built on before, such as a field or desert (so named because they are brown). A brownfield excavation happens when you dig into an area that has already been developed, like a residential lot or a small commercial space. Brownfields have to be handled carefully because they can contain old pipes and other buried industrial junk that could potentially contaminate the new project site and/or hurt people working on it. Greenfield excavations are faster than brownfield excavations because you're just digging dirt.
