According to the business research reporting giant, Forrester, the global technology spending will rise up to 9.3% in 2010 to an impressive USD 1.5 Trillion. This clearly confirms the shift in the business infrastructure investment patterns across the world. Organizations are more comfortable in strengthening their IT infrastructures to get their businesses a more robust and scalable capabilities by investing heavily in their software development. This means good news for the IT industry in India as outsourcing to India will also increase significantly in the wake of high IT development demand globally.

Due to the recent global economy downturn the technology spending had gone down a significant 9.7% in respect to the times prior to the recession. Hence the prediction, if true, would be a solid rebound after a spending decline last year due to the recession and fallout from the financial crisis. The companies will now start afresh by aggressively investing 13.4% more in buying computer equipment by restocking their software development purchases. Talking of outsourcing to India, there will be a definite growth of up ...
... to high 5.2%, according to the forecast.

The growth of IT outsourcing to India lags behind the global software development growth because the Indian IT companies are more of software development service providers and not professional software vendors. To match up to the global rate, the Indian enterprises would need to do a revamp of their business models and get into the smart computing mode. The companies will need to sell their own software products to get a hike in their global IT value. There are sure shot signs of long term changes that the Indian industry is going through to stand up to the rising expectations of the clients once again. Outsourcing to India is becoming a much more mature industry according to Forrester chief, Mr. Bartels. Bartels says that outsourcing to India is growing slowly because of the falling prices. The deals and opportunities are definitely increasing, but due to the cut throat competition the services are getting cheaper and hence profitability is getting slower.

The leading enterprises of the Indian IT industry such as Wipro, Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services, TechMahindra, and Cognizant should build on their great experiences and expertise and come up with complex software packages for businesses worldwide. This surely will better their and the country's prospects. Bartels said that the companies should try and take their systems integration development services to software which can be reused and deployed at multiple business applications. Selling proprietary software to potential clients leverages business growth in addition to improving the profitability and revenue inflow margins.

This strategy is not an overnight overhaul to make miraculous profits, and neither was Rome built in a day! These are the foundation stones of a new revolution that might take outsourcing to India to newer heights that were never reached before and get a sustained technology growth for the Indian economy. Past rounds of tech spending growth were driven by similar major advances like mainframe computing, personal computing and network computing. Now is the right time to reconsider the future options and act accordingly.

TatvaSoft being a professional software development company understands the needs of the clients for outsourcing to India and hence we offer competitive services and solutions cost effectively.
