Did You Know That Led Daytime Running Lights Are Important For Your Safety?

LED daytime running lights are a great way to increase visibility and alert other drivers of your intentions. LEDs have been proven to reduce accidents by up to 50% and can even improve the way a car handles. But not all DRLs are created equal! Some cars, like the Nissan Versa, come with factory-installed LEDs, while others, like the Honda Accord, require aftermarket installation. Aftermarket installation is relatively easy, but you'll need a helpful guide.
If you drive a car, you know that driving at night can be dangerous. With limited visibility, it is sometimes hard to see what's coming up around blind corners or out of the dark. And even if you have headlights, that doesn't mean other drivers see them or you! You can find yourself in an accident before you even realise what's happening.
Perhaps the most common solution is to install LED daytime running lights, or DRLs for short. They make your car visible not only to other motorists but also to pedestrians, helping them avoid walking into traffic. ...
... Because they're LED, they're also much more energy-efficient than the standard halogen bulbs used in headlights, which means you save on gas while still being visible at night.
What are DRLs and why do they Matter?
DRLs are lights that come on automatically when your car is in motion. They are generally used in place of standard headlight bulbs, although some people choose to use DRLs with HID bulbs for brighter light and more visibility for themselves and others on the road. This brightness also helps prevent accidents by making your vehicle more visible to other drivers, especially at dusk and dawn when visibility is low. Although DRLs are not required in every state, they are required by law in certain states.
Here are some reasons why LED daytime running lights are so important:
They make your vehicle more visible during the day
They help prevent pedestrian accidents
They reduce gas consumption by using less energy than halogen bulbs
They are affordable and easy to install
According to the National Highway stats, almost half of all fatal traffic accidents in 2016 occurred during daylight hours. The number one cause for daytime accidents? Inattentive drivers distracted by their phones or other devices. If you are looking for a way to help prevent day-time car accidents caused by distracted drivers, consider buying LED daytime running lights (DRLs).
