MATERIAL OF THE BADMINTON BAT
Entry level badminton rackets are made out of aluminium or steel which prove to be cost-effective. However, if you’re of a higher level then it would be advisable to use carbon fibre or graphite. Most intermediate or advanced rackets come with nanocarbon that are light in weight and more durable.
STRING OF THE RACKET
You can play with different strings and varying tension to enhance the power and control of your playing technique and skill. Multifilament strings are most commonly used which are durable, synthetic and popular. There are two types of strings that you can use i.e. high tension or low tension. If you’re an advanced player then you should have higher tension i.e. rackets strung at tension of 25lbs or more. As a result, the racket and shuttle will be in touch with each other for a shorter duration, transferring lesser power and adding more control. Conversely, beginners should have lower tension i.e rackets strung at 18-20lbs or 21-23lbs. As a result, players will have more power in their shot.
BADMINTON RACKET PRICE
This completely depends upon the user. Badminton racket prices range from as low as Rs.500 to Rs 25,000 and more. Ideally you should buy a racket in tandem with the level of expertise you possess.
SHAFT OF THE RACKET
Stiff shafts are suited for players with fast and powerful swings. Medium stiffness is ideal for players with a developing technique and lesser arm speed. Flexible shafts are designed for beginners with slower arm speed that require power and speed.
