Just to explain, OD obsessions are recurring unwanted persistent thoughts, images and urges that are disturbing and lead to anxiety and distress. Even if you try to overlook them or get rid of them by doing compulsive rituals or actions, they can have an effect on your daily life.

It can be mental acts and repetitive behaviour to soothe your anxiety related to your obsessions or even counteracting something bad to happen. Unfortunately, OCD compulsions only bring temporary relief for your anxiety and offer no pleasure at all.
