What Does Zinc Rich Paint Mean?
Zinc rich paints are those paints that contain a suitably high amount of zinc dust or zinc powder mixed with organic or inorganic binders. Such zinc rich paints are applied as a topcoat on steel or other metallic surfaces that operate in harsh environmental conditions and that have a continuous risk of corrosion. The zinc dust prevents the metal from becoming corroded by simply sacrificing itself.
