An Amazon Prime membership comes with some pretty great additional benefits. One of these is Twitch Prime, which we cover in detail further below. The way one can get the benefits from this service is by linking their existing Amazon accounts with their Twitch account. To do so, follow the steps in the images provided below, which are shown for both an Android device and a Windows 10 machine.

What Is Twitch Prime?

Twitch Prime was created back in 2014 and it can only be accessed on the Amazon-owned video game streaming service. The service is included with an Amazon Prime membership and it’s geared towards providing a premium experience. It includes bonus games, in-game content, exclusives and also features deals with numerous gaming retailers that supply users with various perks.

Amazon Prime is not just about expedited shipping but is a wonderful and interesting service that has many benefits for subscribers. The number one reason people join Prime is because of the free Amazon Channels subscription, which directly supports streamers by funding their venture into the world of online broadcasting. Plus, ...
... you can renew your free Twitch channel subscription (up to 3 times) as long as you maintain an active Amazon Prime account linked to your Twitch streamer page!.

Link Your Twitch And Amazon Prime Accounts

To gain access to free Twitch Prime Subscribers, you must link your Amazon Prime account and Twitch dot tv accounts. To do so, follow the steps below:

Click the login button at the top right of the page. Enter your account information on the following page and click Sign In. You will be taken to Amazon's personal “Lift the Veil” link that has a short video about Twitch Prime. The video explains how Twitch Prime allows you various perks for free with Amazon Prime on top of what you already get. After watching the video (which you can skip), log into your account and click Link Accounts. You'll now have full access to all of Twitch Prime's benefits!

How To Subscribe To A Twitch Streamer

When you choose to subscribe to a person that streams content via Twitch Prime, you’re essentially sending $4.99 in their direction knowing that they will only receive this full amount if their channel has enough subscribers to reach a certain threshold of monthly views. To subscribe to a streamer, just navigate to their profile, and then click “Subscribe” at the top of the page. If this is the first time you’ve subscribed to a streamer through your Twitch account, be asked whether or not you want to apply your free subscription towards this specific channel before proceeding with the order.

The only other way to get bonus Bits without using your own money is via Twitch Prime. With Twitch Prime, you'll be able to redeem your Bonus every month by using Amazon coins. You can get Amazon coins in bundles of 100 or more with no minimum purchase required. If you have a Prime Account, though, you can just go ahead and connect it with your Twitch account and sweeten the deal by getting even more stuff!

How To View Your Current Subscriptions

You can view your subscriptions on Twitch at any time. To do that, click your profile picture in the top-left corner and then click 'My Subscriptions'. The "My Subscriptions" page shows all of your current subscriptions with their benefits, the subscription expiration dates, if they're paid or eligible for Prime, and more.

How To Resubscribe To A Streamer Via Twitch Prime

When you sign up for an Amazon Prime membership and link it to your Twitch account, you will have a one-month delay before you can resubscribe. To check the status of your subscriptions, log into your Twitch account, pull down on the top-right corner of the screen, and click “subscriptions” under settings. A list of your current, gifted, and expired subscriptions appears. Featured above is an example of a subscriber who used their Prime membership to follow a streamer.

The only way you can continue receiving benefits from Twitch Prime is by paying for the subscription service. While we do understand that with this being your first time making a purchase, no money will be deducted from your account at this time, if you choose to Do not Buy You'll have an opportunity to save some money on a recurring subscription.
