Technical report guidelines for ASET:
The following are a set and ordered list of the components to write an ASET technical report. You must remember each of the sections given must begin on a separate page. Apart from that, you have to submit the report electronically in PDF format.

Title Page
As per the name, the title page must have the report’s title with the name of the author. Both of these have to be at the center of the page.
Acknowledgments
It’s important to recognize and pay your gratitude to those who contributed, helped, and served as technical advisors to the author. For example, I’d like to pay my gratitude to Dr. John cruise for guiding me on this project. I also want to thank Mr. Michael Reigns for allowing me access to the lab and use of the test equipment.
Table of Contents
The main topics, together with the page numbers related to them, are in the list of table contents. Minor topics are listed as subtopics under the related main topic.

List of Exhibits
List of Acronyms (optional)
Executive summary
The executive summary is a ...
... synopsis appearing at the report beginning. This service is for those readers not having time to read the whole report. The executive summary has to be written in a way that a reader having some subject knowledge can decide whether they need to read the entire report for more details or not. The executive summary consists of the following:

What led to the investigation?

How the investigation was done?

A summary of the findings.

The conclusion-based recommendation.
Introduction
Include the following things in your introduction as per the technical report guidelines.

The nature of the report, why you are writing the report, general information sources, and who approved the report (if appropriate). The introduction must not have any bearing on the content of the report.
Body of Report

1. Discussion: The discussion is the major part of the body including investigation details. The discussion will divide the procedure that was followed, and the data collected in the evaluation (considerable amounts of data should be in the appendices and easily mentioned in the discussion). The discussion should be split into subsections for the presentation of the subject matter. The technical report has to fix engineering or applied science issues and show a critical analysis of a technical issue.

2. In-text citations: the technical report has to be the author’s original work, but all reports will need outside sources of information for the validation of the report author’s findings. A proper report should have well-researched subject matter, properly cited. In-text citations indicate where you need to search for the source of the outside information. References are in sequential order the way they appear in the body of the report. The page numbers cited with quotes are also indicated in the citation. In the reference section, where extra information is given, the citations are in the form of a numerical list according to the given technical report guidelines.

3. Footnotes: Every explanation and note that is difficult to adjust into the text may be included as Footnotes. Footnotes appear at the bottom of the page.

4. Quotations: direct and short quotations of not over 2 or 3 lines in length should be included in the text and surrounded by quotation marks like “ “. Quotes over 3 typewritten lines start on a new line, to be introduced by a colon, are single-spaced, and are not flanked by quotation marks. To differentiate such quotations from the text, you should indent them from both sides of the page. Adhere to the original’s punctuation and paragraphing. Every quotation must be accurate. Identify all direct quotes with a footnote, including authorship, title, page number, and publication. The page singular abbreviation is “P” and the plural is “PP”.

5. Exhibits: a well-written technical report has an investigation of a technical problem, and it has to be supported by ‘Exhibits” like graphs, tables, charts, pictures, drawings, and the like. you must include exhibits in the list of exhibits and should be numbered in sequential order from the starting of the report with the below-given format:

(Exhibit#, Title). Drawings have to be in 8 ½” x 11” or “11 x 17” format.
In this blog, we told you about the technical report guidelines for ASET assessment. Despite telling you the way the report should be prepared, we still strictly advise you to take professional technical report writing services. Such reports are very delicate and assessed with strict systems and assessment criteria. So, to avoid even a minor mistake, you should hand over your technical report writing project to a professional.
