Lord Hanuman Marble Murti 5

Lord Hanuman is the son of Lord Vayu, the Lord of winds, and Anjana. This is why he is also called Anjaneya, son of Anjana, and Vayu Putra, son of Lord Vayu or son of winds. Anjana once playfully angered a priest. He gave her a curse that she will be a monkey from the next day. On seeking for apologies, the priest cooled down and said that Anjana will be married to Maruti, the king of monkeys, and will bear a monkey as a kid, but the kid will be very prosperous and very successful not just in monkey kingdom, but also among humans. Thus, few years later, Lord Hanuman was born to Maruti and Anjana with the blessings of Lord Vayu, who gave a fruit blessed with a child’s birth.
