On the other hand, in depression, the sadness of losing a loved one is quite intense, persistent, and pervasive. Extreme sadness, thoughts of joining the deceased, a sensation of seeing or hearing things, Sluggishness or hesitant and confused speech are all related to depression. At this stage, the mourners should be taken to the depression clinic , consult the psychiatrist and get treated accordingly.

Treatment

Grief can be extremely painful, and there are depression therapy and treatment to ease the symptoms and episodes of anxiety and depression. An anti-anxiety medication might be helpful if grief-related anxiety is so severe, worse, and interfere with day-to-day activities. If it’s poor sleep, over-the-counter sleep aids might be helpful.

Psychotherapy sessions can be greatly beneficial in helping you process the feelings and cope up. If nothing seems to work, magnetic therapy called TMS (Transcranial Magnetic stimulation) might be helpful. A psychiatrist can determine the right treatment to help overcome the grief of your loved ones.

Every person grieves differently, and there’s no right or wrong way to do it. Talking openly with someone you trust or a therapist can help you overcome the grief. Reaching out for help when you’re depressed is the way to an effective treatment.
