Creating Pop3.log File In Outlook Express

Log files help in finding out what went wrong in the process that forced it to abort itself. Same is the case with Outlook Express email client. In Outlook Express, Pop3.log file tells a lot about the history of the error(s). Microsoft Internet Explorer 5
1.Start Outlook Express.
2.On the Tools menu, click Options.
3.On the Maintenance tab, under Troubleshooting, click to select the Mail check box.
4.Click Apply, and then click OK.
If you are running MSN, the Pop3.log file may be created and stored in:
C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\username\Mail folder
Where username is your MSN Member ID.
For Windows 98, if you are not using MSN, the Pop3.log file is created and stored in:
C:\Windows\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Mail folder
For Windows 2000, the Pop3.log file is created and stored in:
Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\User id\Microsoft\Outlook Express
For Windows NT, the Pop3.log file is created and stored in:
%Winnt%\Profiles\Username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook Express\Mail folder

For Windows NT 4.0 is Pop3.log file is created and stored in:
%Winnt%\Profiles\username\Application Data\Identities\User id\Microsoft\Outlook Express

Once you have Pop3.log file of Outlook Express, you are able to take desired action for any error that is bound to occur or have occurred.
