Different nanoparticles are announced for the market to make the tests easier and these nanospheres are used for a wide range of applications so that accurate results can be found. There are also some common nanoparticles that are now coming to the market and these are in great demand. When we look around, we can really find great use of plastic. It’s the development of civilization that is more associated with plastic uses. When for the first time plastic was announced for the market, people have started to think that it is less toxic in comparison to glass. But it’s a fact that these plastics have sure sort ecological issues. They are not going to degrade and they are going to remain there in the environment for a very long time.

For hundreds of years or more than that plastic can remain there in the environment and this is surely a big issue. However, it is also a fact that plastic can get degrade into the microparticles and then they can convert into nanoparticles. These nanoparticles are now traced in air, water, sludge and soil. This is where the most commonly used plastic comes to mind and that is polystyrene ...
... or in short, known as PS. This is a kind of plastic product that is made from the polymerization of styrene monomers. This type of plastic is mostly used to make Styrofoam. It is also sued to make other products such as toys, cup covers, CDs, etc. as per the vitro and vivo studies, it was also found that the polystyrene nanoparticles can penetrate the organisms through different routes such as digestive tracts, respiratory system and skin.

These nanoparticles can get deposited into the living organisms and further they can accumulate into the food chain. The polystyrene nanoparticles that are surrounded by the protein corona can allow the penetration of cellular membranes as well as can interact with the cellular structures. The polystyrene nanoparticles can be transported into phagocytosis and pinocytosis and that completely depends on the type of cell that these nanoparticles carry. These polystyrene nanoparticles are also used in the field like cancer research as they believe that it is a very good carcinogenic substance. For a wide range of applications, these polystyrene nanoparticles are used such as the biosensors used in the photonics field. For the self-assembling nanostructures, these nanoparticles are also sued.

As far as polystyrene is concerned, this is a biocompatible product and due to this reason when the polystyrene nanoparticles are used, they are not expected to adversely affect the interactions of the nanoparticles with the biological system or tests. There are also polystyrene nanoparticles for which the surface modification is done and these are homogenous and these nanoparticles exhibit a very low level of polydispersity index. They can also create stable colloids for the biological fluids. For a wide range of experiments and tests, these polystyrene nanoparticles are used as the model particles with an aim to analyze the effects they can have on different biomedical parameters.
PMMA or known as polymethyl methacrylate is a kind of transparent plastic and this is used in a wide range of industries, for a wide range of applications and for a wide range of purposes. From making car windows to making smartphones, the PMMA nanoparticles have really managed to draw a great deal of attention these days due to their various usages and advantages. PMMA nanoparticles are surely the best alternative to the less resilient and costly glass.
