Introduction
"Momo's" are not the same as "Dim Sum's." So, when was the last moment you had a nice debate about what those exquisite and succulent steamed morselsas should be called "Momo's" or "Dim Sum"?? Well, let’s look into what these are supposed to be called and also how it got evolved over the years starting from the very start of its origin. Momos is famously known as the alter ego or, more accurately, our indigenous take on the legendary "Dim Sum's."
While dim sum originated in China, particularly in their famed Tea rooms, where it was served as an accompaniment to tea, Dim Sum refers to a wide range of forms, shapes, flavours, colours, and other beautiful variety. While Momos are a simplified and less elaborate form, they are fundamentally flavoured packed meat or vegetable dumplings with a flour coating and may have variations, and can be found in all of India's local food places.
Origin
The origins of momos in Tibet can be traced back to the time when Newar traders transported the dish from Lhasa to Nepal, where it quickly became a famous and widespread street meal throughout India. Momos ...
... are a wonderful and welcoming addition to the Indian culinary scene today, and there are a variety of reasons for their popularity.
Momo are little, bite-sized appetisers that may be obtained in many Indian cities, including Kolkata, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, and others. Non-vegetarian fillings, such as yak, beef, pork, chicken, or only cabbage, would be used in traditional momos. Momos, on the other hand, have progressed from their humble origins to insane experiments and are now ultra-chic.
They're available in a variety of vegetarian and non-vegetarian flavours, including cabbage, carrot, beans, coriander, and ginger, as well as schezwan chicken, noodles, minced fish, prawn, and potato. Tandoori momos with flaming hot red chutney and powdered chaat masala are the latest fascinating addition, which adds to the increasing yet welcome list of momos. Butter chicken momos, korma momos, oreomomos, coconut momos, and vodka and soup are some of the more unusual but intriguing momo types that are currently popular.
Momos have now become and is continuing to become the generation X, Y, and Z's go-to snack. They can be found on the menus of upscale fine dining restaurants and on the streets of most major cities. Its appeal is probably due to the fact that it is light on the stomach and tasty on the palate.
The simple steamed dumpling appears to have matured in an era where everyone is trying to be as original as possible and fusion food is the 'in thing.'

Momos Kothe: This is how the Himalayans do Momos. These Momos are pan-fried and offered with a variety of ingredients used for stuffing, including vegetables, meat, and pork. Fried Ginger is one of the major components that gives these Momos their distinct flavour, and the best part about them is that they are not only delicious but also highly healthful!
