It concluded here recently, and take a toll on the players and the week-long break before the next game. In this match, Indian players failed to defend themselves. They overlooked jaded as they went about their opening match against the arch-rivals. Opening batsmen failed to give a good start, and bowlers failed to stop their opponents.

Virat Kohli said during the post-match in a press conference. “I think it works well for us from all points of view. Knowing that we have played a full-fledged season already, we played the IPL, which is a very high octane by itself in testing conditions here in the UAE, and then we come into the World Cup. So for us, these big breaks are something that’s going to help us as a team to be in the prime physical condition that we need to be to play this high-intensity tournament.

IND vs PAK MATCH HIGHLIGHTS T20: Virat Kohli Shared his Opinion
“We didn’t execute properly. Credit where it’s due and Pakistan outplayed us today. They started brilliantly with the ball, and 3 wickets for 20 runs was not a good start. We needed wickets early but with the bat they gave us absolutely no chances. It played slow in the first half and hitting through the line was not that easy as it was in the second half, after 10 overs. We needed those 15-20 extra runs an for that we needed a good start but Pakistan’s bowling didn’t allow us to get those extra runs. We could make the argument of getting in another slower bowler, but it’s important to stay composed and understand our strengths, because with the dew the slower bowlers couldn’t be effective either. This is just the first game of the tournament, not the last.” – Virat Kohli after the defeat against Pakistan
