What is a Barcode Scanner?
Barcodes are codes that contain data or information of a particular product that is stored online through the software that is connected with barcodes. The barcodes have a different set of letters and numbers and are encoded using bars of different lengths and widths, which are then encoded by a device called a Barcode Scanner. Barcodes are usually used by businesses to keep track of their inventory or assets in order to have every information of that particular item at their disposal whenever they need it. The device that is used by businesses to scan the barcodes and get the information anytime, anywhere could be either a wireless barcode scanner in Mumbai or a mobile barcode scanner in Mumbai.

These barcodes are used by many different types of businesses. Most commonly used at retail stores and supermarkets, barcodes have sure;y made jobs easier and have reduced the need for manpower in the company, also saving a lot of time and costs for the company. The data or information ...
... provided by the barcode gets tallied with the data or information detected and scanned by the scanner on the computer and that information helps in the billing process. A wireless barcode scanner in Mumbai helps keep every piece of information organised and is very useful for businesses.

Different Types of Barcode Scanners -
There are two different types of scanners based on the amount of data that can be stored in a barcode -
1. 1D Code - The linear representation of data in black and white of different widths and has 12 characters is called the 1D Code. This type of barcode can carry only alphanumeric data. If you are looking at including more information in the barcode, you would have to increase the length of the barcode. 90% of the applications and businesses use the 1D Code.

2. 2D Code - 2D Codes are like data matrix or QR codes which most commonly use hexagons, squares or other different types of shapes to store information. They are arranged in both, horizontal and vertical patterns, and facilitates 2-dimensional readability. This is a much smaller barcode than a 1D code, but on the contrary, the 2D codes can hold up to 100 characters.

How does a Barcode Scanner work?
A barcode scanner is an input device that uses light beams to scan and convert the barcodes on a computer in a digital print. The mobile barcode scanner in Mumbai scans the data and decodes it on the computer. There are different parts of a barcode scanner - a lens, a source of light, and a light sensor that is used to translate optical impulses into electrical signals. A barcode scanner also consists of a decoder whose function is to analyse the imagery form of data that it receives from the sensor and sends the decoded information to the output port, like a computer, a system or a mobile phone.

You can purchase a wireless barcode scanner in Mumbai or a mobile barcode scanner in Mumbai from any solutions shop. You can find some in the southern part of Bombay, also commonly called the old Bombay. There are many stores there that deal in the best and most authentic products that are imported from foreign countries. You can also ask for an authentication certificate from these stores to weigh your chances of buying the products.
