The one-year high share price is 23.750p and the one-year low share price is 14.250p. On January 20, 2017, the Committee of Directors of Capital Raising of the State Bank of India reviewed and approved the circulation and allocation of 2,107 crore shares at an issue price of 26,959 rupees per share at a preference basis to the Indian Government (GOI) for a total amount of 5,680.99 rupees. At its meeting on 29 September 2015, the Bank's Board of Directors considered and approved the allocation of 1,965 Crores of shares (on a preference basis) to the Indian Government at an issue price of Rs 27,437 per share at a total price of Rs 539,299.
On July 4, 2016, the State Bank of India announced that it had sold a 5% stake in the National Stock Exchange of India Limited (NSE) which represents 22.50 lakh shares of the NSE to Veracity Investment Limited (a Mauritius-based FII) for Rs 40.50 per share for a total of Rs 91.125 crore. Following the sale, the bank held a 51.9% stake in the NSE, while its subsidiary SBI Capital Markets Limited held 43.3% of the NSE.
The company reported net profit after tax of 737,991 rupees in the latest quarter. ICICI Direct Buy Call for SBI has a price target of Rs 47.4.
