Brainstorming is a technique through which we can find potential to a given problem. In most cases, brainstorming involves a group headed by a facilitator. A session of the technique involves an informal and alleviated approach to creative thinking. Brainstorming also helps in building enthusiasm and further generates a large number of ideas in lesser time. Evaluation of ideas at the end of a brainstorming session helps in exploring the best solutions for the problem. “The way to get good ideas is to get lots of ideas and throw the bad ones away.” – Linus Pauling

Some of these techniques are mentioned below:

1. Figuring Storming

This technique of brainstorming makes you put yourself in someone else’s shoes and think like that person. Think about how someone like a famous celebrity would do in that situation. It allows all of the members to participate, even an introvert or shy ones.

4. Starbusting

5. Stepladder Technique

In this technique of brainstorming, a core team is made initially of 2 people, who start discussing the problem. Then members keep getting added to the group one by one, and present their ideas. With each new member, comes a new idea. This helps in preventing the dominance of any one member and gives every member an opportunity to speak for themselves.

8. Listing/Bulleting
