If you have a keen desire to work and settle down in a developed and prosperous country like Australia, then you must prove your competency by means of the VETASSESS skill assessment application. It checks your eligibility and occupation relevancy to the chosen occupation.

It is seen that many eligible and promising candidates face rejection, and the main reason for this is their poor preparation of the application. 1. Lack of verification documents

You need to have some extra verification requirements to prove your qualifications gained from specific regions of the world. It may include countries like China, Pakistan, and Nigeria and so on. All necessary documents from your country should be included for the proper assessment.
Lack of such supporting documents will lead to the underestimation of your capability in the eyes of the assessing authority, which will compel them to reject you.

Unless you give a clear and full description of your qualifications and work experience, the assessing authority can’t evaluate you. Your resume and work reference statements have to be with a clear-cut description of your duties for a proper VETASSESS evaluation.

It must match the ANZSCO duties for the occupation you have chosen. Remember you have to present yourself positively, and improper or confusing descriptions can come up as a villain in such situations.

3. Discrepancy

Providing everything with full details means you take the application and the authority seriously. Not doing means the opposite. So, your dates, names, places, and the like must be discrepancy-free in every document. The discrepancy is an unforgivable mistake here. You are expected to be a perfect example of discipline in such an evaluation situation, and not having all details in your application means you are digging a grave for your negative assessment.

4. Fake or faulty work experience

You should keep in mind that you just have to prove your eligibility for the relevant occupation on the basis of your work experience mainly. If you have any work experience of more than 20 hours per week, then share it to get the situation in your favour. You should also know that there are some occupations for which paid Ph.D. research may matter.

However, you should also remember that work experience before the completion of your Bachelor’s degree is invalid and unpaid or volunteer work experience or less than 20 hours per week of work experience are also not worth evaluating. The better you show the right experience, the more seriously your application will be taken for VETASSESS skill assessment.

5. No original language or English translation documents

In case of not having documents in English, submit copies of the originals and an English translation from a registered translation service. Documents without a translation will be rejected.

6. Insufficient employment duration

When you submit the application, you must show a full calendar year of employment. If you don’t, then be ready to face rejection.

7. Less supporting documents

Many candidates show fluffy degree certificates and the first page of the employment contract, which leads to the refusal of the skills assessment. You must show that your work was paid for your employment duration. An international document has to fulfill the criteria equal to an Australian document. Sometimes, documents like payslips can’t meet this standard. You must show your paid employment evidence.

8. Confusing contact details

You must provide your contact details clearly when a lawyer/agent is lodging the application. If you don’t, then it can delay the whole evaluation process. It is because sometimes an evaluator has to ask a question or verify qualification or employment information. So, don’t forget to provide your contact details clearly.
