Usually, people don’t really go for readymade food for various reasons. They thing like something like readymade momos will not be as healthy as the freshly made momos and this is exactly what we will discuss in this article today.
It is true that fresh food, like momos made at home will be healthy, but this does not mean that momos that are readymade will be too dangerous for your health. Agreed that having fresh food is the best thing, but frozen or readymade food can be as good too. It is even available in so many different kinds of varieties. Momos are enjoyed best out from the steamer, but that does not mean that the readymade momos will be any lesser. It will actually be as tasty and quite good like the usual momos are. So, you can make momos in bulk and store it in the refrigerator or freezer for the next few days, so that you can have it, whenever you feel like it.
One another very popular belief is that the frozen food is very high in sodium. While it is true that for a very long time, a lot of salt was added in the preservative and hence this increased the sodium content ...
... in it, but today, with the evolution of technology and different ways to make food in low calories, the preservatives too have a very low level of sodium and even lower calorie intake. So, even if it is steam momos that are in the frozen form, they won’t have as much sodium in it and will instead be filled with lean proteins, vegetables etc. You can even scan the label of nutrition and ingredients and see if the sodium is included in it.
They also say that you cannot reuse the readymade food once you have taken it out of refrigerator. This is not completely true. You might not be able to refreeze it as it is not advisable for your health, but you definitely can put it in the refrigerator for a day or two. Once you remove from the fridge, make sure that you thaw it very well and it will be the best idea to consume it immediately. If you fear that you will end up wasting food, then you should take out only so much quantity that you require.
Next, the expiry date of the readymade food when frozen, is a major concern. However, one must know that if the food is properly stores at 0-degree F or less than that, the food will be the same for a very long time and it won’t expire so soon either. If you make momos at home and wish to save the excess in the freezer, then after following the rules of freezing, you can properly store it for a very long time. However, do watch the number of times you are trying to freeze the same food.

Buying readymade food is not as expensive as people think it to be. It might have been true earlier but today, the readymade food as a whole might cost just as much as the fresh food.
