Due to the sheer volume of traffic attempting to flow through London removals in the area certainly has its work cut out, often with trucks having to park some way away from where they are loading and unloading. This makes it absolutely paramount to have sturdy cardboard boxes that are properly packed and strong enough for the job. Buying boxes that are made specifically for moving certainly makes life a lot smoother for any moving company attempting to undertake this job in the London area. London removals also provide their own packing service, where they arrange to come to your home and go from room to room, systematically packing everything into boxes and labelling each box clearly with information as to its contents and the room it belongs in.

Packing and Boxing
Cardboard boxes really are an essential part of moving house and one you can either carry out yourself or rely on the services of one of our London removals' personnel. At one time it was the ubiquitous tea chests but this has now been taken over by high quality, sturdy cardboard boxes with a cut-out handle at each side of the box for ease of manoeuvre. ...
... Many people still search for free cardboard boxes from all the local supermarkets. However, there are considerable advantages to purchasing new cardboard boxes, one of which is that they are all the same shape and size, making it much easier for them to be stacked.

Another advantage is that they come flat packed which is great for storage until you are ready to use them. When it comes to the actual packing, you need to ensure that you have plenty of packaging materials on hand to prevent the more delicate items such as your china ornaments, from getting chipped or, worse, broken. Most of the professionals working for our moving company are experienced, but the odd accident can still happen. The cheapest form of cushioning is the common daily newspaper which, due to its low density reduces damage from accidental impact.

Other packaging can include bubble wrap, low density foam sheets and loose foam fill, as well as the low density foam ‘biscuits' for wedging between items. Other packaging necessary to keep your belongings safe in transit include tissue paper to wrap delicate objects and corrugated paper and shaped card. Make sure everything in each box is clearly marked with indelible marker pen and a list of contents placed inside the top of each box or securely taped to the outside.

Organisation is Key
In the run-up to removal day organisation really is the key to a successful moving experience. By removal day, of course, you really should have everything packed into cardboard boxes apart from the tea and coffee-making paraphernalia which is particularly important to keep handy, even if only to keep the moving company personnel happy during the move! Other items to pack separately are things that are going to be needed during that first night in the new property. Keep those packed separately so that you can at least get some sleep before you attack all your boxed possessions that are awaiting new homes.
