Homemade Cream of Mushroom Soup is a tasty and delicious soup dish that is ideal for lunch or a light dinner! This creamy soup is filled with fresh mushrooms for a rich taste you won't be able to get enough of!

Serve with a fresh tossed salad and dipping bread such as Homemade Garlic Bread or Easy Homemade Buttermilk Biscuits.

Mushrooms are one of my favorite veggies of all time. They have a wonderful earthy taste that goes well with creamy soups. Serve with freshly baked 30 Minute Dinner Rolls and homemade garlic butter to soak up any remaining deliciousness in the bowl!

You may use any type of mushroom you like (I like cremini)! There are so many fantastic alternatives but don't worry, they will all end in a delicious soup. Buy sliced mushrooms if you want to save time.

Mushrooms Used In Mushroom Soup
Cremini Mushrooms are my personal favorite because of the flavor they add. They'll also offer a splash of color to a soup that's otherwise white and creamy. It maintains the flavor the same but provides your end product a little darker hue.

The most popular magic mushrooms used are white button mushrooms, but you may use whatever kind you like!

Baby Bellas are brown button mushrooms with a deeper hue and a somewhat richer flavor.

However, because there are so few ingredients in this soup, don't scrimp on the quality! We recommend using genuine heavy whipping cream (or evaporated milk if you don't have cream), real butter instead of margarine, and so on.

Because of their earthy flavor, mushrooms provide an excellent foundation for any cuisine (I even make my own homemade condensed mushroom soup for use in casseroles).

This creamy soup dish is really simple to make!

Cook until the onions and mushrooms are tender and the fluids have been released in butter!

Allow the white wine to simmer down. Sift in the flour, then add the stock and bring to a boil.

To get the appropriate consistency, chop or puree the soup. Cook until the cream has thickened.
