Loading the printer ribbon: You need to load the ribbon when you install the printer and when the ribbons run out. Follow these steps:

1. Open the printer cover
2. Remove the print ribbon cartridge
3. Place the new print ribbon onto the spindle which is closest to the cartridge handle and press down
4. Place the silver take-up spool on the spindle with the black gear and press down until it sits in the place
5. Wind the take-up spool counterclockwise once

Loading the cleaning sleeve: Load a new cleaning sleeve with each new roll of print ribbon whenever you notice dust or debris on the printed cards.
1. Look for the cleaning roller spindle and slip the spindle into the cleaning sleeve
2. Place the spindle with cleaning sleeve in the ribbon cartridge
3. Eradicate the protecting wrapper from the cleaning sleeve
