10 Ways To Build A Thriving Jewelry Business In 2021

One of the podcasts I listen to on NPR is "How I Built This," produced by Guy Raz. Resilience has been a major theme this year. Even some large U.S. companies are struggling to remake their business model in light of these challenging economic conditions.
Managing your business into 2021 is not a set process. The best we can do is keep showing up daily to do the work, and make the best educated guess on what the future holds.
My ten strategies for building a thriving jewelry business in 2021 are listed below.

1. Put your commitment into action!
You have the option of owning a business that makes creative jewelry. Being persistent, making it a career and being willing to say, "Hey!" I made this! Do you want to buy it?” takes commitment.

2. Decide who your tribe is. The product is designed for whom?
When creating an in-demand jewelry line, you must know who you are making it for. Which foods do they like? What are their shopping habits? How does the jury decide? What are they following? It is important that your target audience is familiar with ...

3. Become familiar with MAYA:
Once you have a solid grasp of "what is familiar" to your tribe, look for ways to create something that is Most Advanced Yet Acceptable. Then, add your own little twist to what your audience recognizes.

4. Advertise on social media:
Build your community by posting your jewelry every day on social media sites like Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest. It is normal to see fewer "likes" and followers. You should begin by posting your work somewhere, and then remain committed to doing so.

5. Establish your own platform:
You should build equity by building direct connections, not just through Instagram, Facebook, and Pinterest. You can build your own platform in two ways:
• Build a mailing list of potential customers and buyers.
• Create an online presence.

6. Strive to be better every day :
Day single day it's not easy. Let go of yesterday's events. Today, let's do our best and improve. To get started, try the following:
Choose a jewelry making technique that will help you improve.
Develop good creative and business habits.
Taking good pictures and designing graphics will help you bring your marketing materials up a notch.

7. Continually innovate:
jewelry designs are not the only ways to be innovative. You can also apply it to how you sell. Innovative marketing, customer engagement, customer service, and loyalty building require you to be innovative.

8. Create new items and test them:
By creating new items and testing them, you can engage your community. Try posting a couple of pieces to see how they are received (or not). Adding fun marketing to your business plan will help you catch the attention of your customers. Make them a part of the creative process. You want your subscribers to feel a sense of urgency so they look forward to your emails and updates.

9. Don't take it personally:
If a jewelry collection doesn't sell, don't take it personally, move on. Flexibility is one of the best qualities in a designer. Switch to a more efficient wire wrapping technique if a certain item is taking too much time. Consider pivoting to what is in demand if you notice earrings are selling but long necklaces are not.

10. Keep your jewelry suppliers informed:
in 2021 by keeping them in the loop. Supply chain disruptions are likely to continue into the foreseeable future. To avoid supply chain aggravation, here are some tips:
Design according to stock and availability.
Make jewelry using your inventory on hand only. Beware of assuming that you can restock quickly. We may not see inventory stocking levels until 2021.
Make sure you have enough supplies to make smaller batches. As a result, shopping while it is available will add excitement and create a sense of urgency.
