Pune – The Ajeenkya DY Patil University (ADYPU) in Pune has pledged to do whatever it can to make the transition to on-campus learning as seamless and safe as possible for students. “There is a reopening and contingency plan in place to ensure safety measures are met,” confirmed Dr Ajeenkya DY Patil, President of Ajeenkya DY Patil University and Chairman of Ajeenkya DY Patil Group. He said, “We are excited and relieved that students are returning to campus for classes. As part of our efforts to plan for a safe reopening, we have put in place all the recommended measures and protocols to mitigate the risks associated with Covid-19.”

Additionally, he confirmed that 100% of their staff and faculty have been vaccinated, and that the university is also offering vaccinations to students who have not been vaccinated. In order to help students who won’t be able to get the vaccination due to unavailability or unaffordability, the school has set up a vaccination fund of Rs 15 lakh. They have also put in place a contingency plan to stop the spread of the virus as soon as suspected or confirmed cases are reported. Their ...

He further discussed the emphasis that the university will be placing on mental health counselling, academic and career consultancy.

“We understand that student needs and academic capabilities will differ after lockdown and we are putting in place all the support and counselling needed to meet individual requirements,” he said. “Our students have dealt with a lot of change during these uncertain times, and we are proud of their resilience. But it’s time to get back to the university, to normality, and we want to make the transition a smooth and encouraging one,” concluded Dr. Patil.
