More Boiler Installations Could Add To Demand For Plumbing Courses

An industry expert has suggested this summer could see more installations of energy-efficient boilers, which may provoke engineers to take plumbing courses.

Buderus national sales manager Mike Southall noted it is hard to say exactly what will happen in the boiler market, since people are watching their budgets closely this year, but he believes the summer will be busy.

"We feel fairly confident that it will pick up and the busy time for us is always going to be July and August because that is the shut down period in schools and some offices," he explained.

The increased demand for installations of boilers may lead to more engineers deciding to sign up for plumbing courses, since Mr Southall claimed people tend to make serious modifications to such equipment during the warmer months.

Recently, the Department of Energy and Climate Change revealed its energy bill as part of the Queen's Speech, with the document aiming to deliver energy-efficiency to homes and businesses in the UK.
