Crane pendant push button:
The crane pendant is a part of the crane which is used for the industrial sectors. The crane pendant is a device that is operated by the operator. The device is also called a crane control unit or crane pendant station. It is the most important part of the crane and hence if any error or mistakes are found then the crane inspector checks it first.

The crane pendant push button station is connected to the hoist and the hoist is attached to the overhead crane. All the connectivity takes place via the wired systems. The hoist is connected with the cable wire called a crane pendant cable. This hoist is used to up and down heavy objects. With the help of a pendant switch, the crane can be moved in directions like long travel, cross travel, and hoist.

The ground operator uses the transmitter device which is equipped with many buttons like start, stop, up. down, east, west, north, south, etc.

When the operator presses the forward button at that time the operator also has to walk alongside the crane due to a wired connection. The operator has to be very careful while operating the crane, he might be messed up the obstacles which is risky. The pendant push buttons are interlocked which means you can use a single button at a time.

Suppose if an up button is pressed then you cannot use the other button while the crane completes with the up direction.

Types of Pendant push button station:

1. 2 way push button:
The 2 way push buttons have 2 buttons and they are used for up and down directions.

2. 4 way push button:
4 way buttons are configured with the start, stop, up, and down buttons.

3. 6 way push button:
It comprises the 6 buttons such as start, stops, up, down, east and west functions.

4. 8 way push button:
The 8 way buttons fulfill with the north, south, up, down, start, stop, east and west buttons.

5. 10 way push button:
It is used to operate the crane in following ways. start, stop, up, down, east, west, north, south, one speed, and two speed versions.


Why crane pendant push button control is in demand:
We know that both the remote control wired and wireless are being used by the manufacturing industry. But the crane pendant control switch fully works on the wired systems. Because of this, it provides a fast and secure connection as compared to the wireless remote control. The hoist is connected to the crane pendant with multiple wired connections.

And hence if any lag or error is found in any route then the communication takes place with another route immediately. In the case of the wireless remote control while communicating between transmitter and receiver, if any lag or error is found then the transmitter stops working instantly.

The pendant control switch does not affect by the outsider activity or external interruption due to the strong wire connectivity. Because of the wired system, it does not need any charging support systems or battery facility rather it takes the electrical energy the same as the overhead crane gets.
