What Is Web Development? How Do I Become A Web Developer?

Web development is the process to develop your website and to ensure proper functioning, management and upgradation of your website. Web developers do this using a variety of programming languages. The languages they use depend on the types of tasks they are performing and the platforms they are working on. Web development skills are in high demand and well paid around the world, which makes development a great career option. This is one of the most easily accessible higher paying areas as you don't need a traditional college degree to qualify.
There are many ways to make sure you are on the right track to start your career as a developer:
Coding boot camps
These are great because they are designed to get you to a job within a few months from little to no programming experience. That means a lot of effective practice and a lot of help from the developers who run the bootcamp.
Get a mentor
It could be a friend, family member or just a developer who wants to help you. You don't get as much help as you would with a boot camp, but it really helps to have someone to turn to when you run into a roadblock. ...
... Having someone watching you and making sure you take the time that you need can help you stay on top of things.
Get a job as a developer
By working as a developer, you have to face an aspect of development that you did not know during your studies, which is the business aspect. This is an important part of development because there is no point creating a product that nobody wants and dealing with customers is a skill that has to be learned first.
Start a plan
If you cannot afford to attend a bootcamp or know someone who can teach you, don't lose heart. Follow the steps and you can learn it yourself as I did. You should try to follow this plan step by step as it will be easier to learn the final sections once you know the first ones.
HTML and CSS
You need to develop a solid understanding of these elements if you have a chance of getting a job. Fortunately, there are hundreds of free and paid resources that can help you learn and master these skills.
freeCodeCamp, w3schools and there are so many free websites which will teach you all about website development. It takes you step-by-step through mini-lessons and that's where you can learn HTML, CSS, and JavaScript!
We'll start with Responsive Web Design and the Basic HTML and HTML5 and Basic CSS sections. These sections introduce you to HTML/ CSS and at the end you will create forms and style HTML with cascading variables.
After you learn how to use HTML and CSS to create and design a web page, you are going to do some effective exercises in completing responsive web design projects. These projects use everything you've learned so far to build five websites.
To learn how to install Git, create a GitHub account and start working with Git. There is a great tutorial, An Intro to Git and GitHub. You can learn this before you start HTML and CSS design projects and use version control for those projects.
There are many ways to use the Git / Version control, but you want to be able to create a GitHub repository, link it to a local folder, upload the work you've done and upload it to GitHub. Once you can do that, you can be effective as a development team.
JavaScript
In order to learn JavaScript, we can do the certification for JavaScript algorithms and data structures on freeCodeCamp. JavaScript is a big part of modern websites.
Job Research
To apply for most positions, you will need a resume or curriculum vitae. This should highlight your strengths without paying special attention to the length of your programming career. It is also important for which positions you are applying. You should apply for positions where you can meet at least 90% of the requirements. You can always point out that as a self-taught developer you will likely figure out other requirements faster than most other people. Of course, that doesn't mean you have to apply for every position you qualify for. Only apply for jobs that you find interesting and would accept if you received the offer.
