What is a pendant push button:
A push button pendant is a part of the overhead crane which is used to manage the hoist connected with the overhead crane. The managing device is called a crane control unit or crane pendant station. The pendant push button is connected to the hoist crane with the long wire cable called a crane pendant cable. Since it's a wired system so it does not need a charging or battery system. With the help of the crane pendant push buttons system, the overhead crane can be moved in particular directions like long travel, cross travel, and lifting and lowering heavy materials. Industrial machines, especially EOT cranes and hoist cranes, can be easily controlled from the factory floor. Various switch combinations can be realized using single speed, double speed, or potentiometer.

Working postulate of crane pendant:
The push button pendant works on the push button system present on the crane pendant. And this crane pendant is managed by the operator. Sometimes there are 2 men required for controlling the overhead crane. The first man sits in the EOT crane while the other man guide and ...
... gives the signals from the ground floor. The crane pendant is connected with the cable wire and suspended from the hoist crane like a pendant which is used by the operator. The operator has to walk alongside when the crane passes then run away due to the wired system. The buttons present on the crane pendant switch are interlocked. That means at a time you cannot perform more than one function. If you press the up button at that time no other buttons can be pressed until you release the up buttons.

Types of Pendant push buttons:
To control the hoist and EOT crane pendants push buttons are used. And this EOT crane pendant push button also has many types. They come in various types like 2 buttons, 4 buttons, 6 buttons, 8 buttons, 10 buttons, and 12 buttons. These all types of crane pendant has their features. The 2 buttons can be used to move the crane in an up and down direction. The 4 buttons crane pendant is used for the start, stop, up, and down directions. Similarly, the 6 buttons are used for the on, off, east, west, up, and down directions. The 8 buttons are used for the up, down, east, west, on, off, north, and south direction. The 10 buttons are used for the east, west, up, down, north, south, on, off, one-speed version, and two-speed version button to control the EOT crane. These all types are made by the Anand system engineering Pvt. Ltd.

The dominance of pendant push buttons station:
As we know that the pendant push button is equipped with the wired systems so all the transmission takes place through the wired only. Hence there is very little chance of an external interruption or hack from the outside. Because the wired system provides a fast and secure connection with the receiver. There are many wires connected to the hoist system for the transmission of signals. And if found dead spot or lag in the activity in any route then it switches to another route instantly. In the case of wireless radio remote control if any lags are found then it stops working instantly. The crane pendant push button uses the power supply the same as the EOT crane gets. Due to the wired systems, the pendant push button switch doesn't require any charging facility or replaceable battery.

Conclusion:
The above points show that a wired system can also be used for transmitting and receiving the signals for the EOT and hoist crane. The wired system and wireless system has their specification and both can be used. Anand systems engineering Pvt. Ltd. is the leading manufacturer of crane pendant push buttons in India. These crane pendants are made according to the customer's need and customizable.
